Well I got it done, installed the Hughes plate kit, with new T-stat, plugs, wires, cap+rotor. There was a lot of oil in there, was even pooling a bit. The only thing that throws me off though is that this had been going on for about 9k miles before we discovered what was going on. When I removed the plugs, they showed no signs of oil fouling, they looked completely normal. I have had cars that consume much less oil but will foul out plugs in short order. I'm not sure what to make of this.
