Question 2002 dodge durango Brake Lights wont work

Hello, I have a 2002 dodge durango and having some brake light problems.

can anyone tell me what could be the problem or what to check for my situation?

my durango isn't putting off any light at all on all 3 of the brake lights (rear driver, passenger side and the top of the back trunk door) the parking lights work perfectly, and the signal lights work as well. but my brake lights wont go off when i press the brakes and im in a busy city with 2 kids and scared to drive around with them in my vehicle because of the people behind me.

i have checked the fuses and the bulbs and they seem to be in good shape. im wondering if maybe im checking the wrong fuses? or if maybe its electrical then what wire should i follow to see if there bad?

if anyone can tell me what to check and do that would be really great. thanks

Check the brake switch located at the brake pedal.

Agreed. Check the brake switch. I had to replace mine, except for the opposite issue. My brake lights wouldn't turn off. But it goes either way. 95% chance its the brake switch
