Less than a year, using an Optima Red Top bought last October. I've been using red or yellow Optimas for years in other vehicles.

I was going to take it to the dealer, again, now that the prob is more solid. Honestly though, I can not imagine it's anyhting other than the CTM. The dealer said the P/N I have has been replaced with another, and it's $527! So, I have an eBay used one coming, which I can get a refund on if it doesn't help. For now I'm driving it with the oddities. Hopefully the errors will get very solid by the time the CTM shows up and I can know quickly if it's fixed.

 

New News: Ran errands today, started and drive maybe 8 times. All 8 times got one or more of the three problems. Got home to find the used CTM arrived today, installed it, drove it 4 more times and none of the issues came up.

I'm going to give it a few days to be sure the errors are gone. I was not able to make two clean days in a row for the past 12 days. If all is ok, I'll take it the dealer to get the Remote Fobs programmed.

One odd thing now, I have Daytime Running Lights with the new CTM. One of my trips was to the dealer to verify they could to the programming on my new/used CTM. He wasn't sure about elim the DRLs. I'm trying to drill down on the internet to see of a DRBIII can turn that off.

[EDIT: Drill down on interwebs shows that if the Country Code is Canada, the DRBIII can't turn off DRLs, but the DRBIII can change the country code to USA, then the DRLs can be toggled.]

 

All Fixed! Used eBay CTM swap was perfect since put in, no errors at all. I took it the dealer just now for DRB3 work. Key fobs are programmed fine. The 'country code' was set to Canada, tech changed it to USA and the DRLs quit. All good.
