I have a 2000 Durango SLT+ 5.9 4 spd auto

I would like to buy a spare PCM, checked at the dealer and there are none in stock anywhere and 13 on back order, god knows if they will make up another batch or not.

Anyhow has anyone had a succesful purchase from any vendor, see many on e-bay but unsure if one can swap a used unit in and my understanding is Dealer can only flash the VIN and Mileage into a "unflashed new or rebuilt unit.

I see Autozone has them, one can buy it unflashed or provide Vin # and mileage and A1 cardone will flash the unit. Get 18 month warranty from Autozone and price is 460 or so.


My freind who is a dealer tech said I could get an unflashed unit and it will work out of the box as is.

anyhow if anyone has bought a unit can you let me know how it worked out.
