Default car wont start after heater core replacement

ive been dealing with this for 3 weeks now and finally got the heater core out and the new one in tonight, got the hvac box back in and the dash and everything hooked up again but now the car is not starting, dome lights work, the bell goes off when the key is in the ignition but the radio, instrument cluster, and even headlights and windows are black as night. i did some damage to the hvac box on the way out but i dont think that should be affecting anything electrical??? i am pretty sure all the grounds and wires are plugged in correctly but tomorrow i am going to try and take it all apart again and see if i can find anything. Any help or tips fpr troubleshooting electrical problems would be greatly appreciated!!!!
