Lower control arm and torstion bar
This is the first dodge i have replaced suspension parts on i tore it apart normally not knowing what a tortion bar was. Found out after i dropped my lower crontrol arm there is a bar stuck to that sides to the back. a buddie informed me that was super dangerous. So my question is whith everything torn apart and my lower control arm just sitting there attached to torstion bar it seems like there is no pressure on it the key wiggles back and forth of i pick up the lower control arm it just flops back down dangling what do i do cause its to loose to take the torstion bars bolt out can i just pry off the lower control arm and pit the new one on and fight it back into place with a jack. Its 99 dodge durango slt 4x4
Not dangerous if you're careful. There's nothing wrong with the torsion bar and lower control arm just hanging like that. Mark the torsion bar to the lower control arm and just make sure you put it in the new control arm the same way it came out of the old one and you'll be fine. But yes there is plenty of room to get the control arm out without taking the torsion bar off. It's a little tricky to put the new arm in with new bushings and what not but you can make it fit
