Default smoking bad when on a slope, could really use a hand

smoking really bad when on a slope then it goes away when i get flat again? any tips maybe plenum gasket? valve seal? bad baffle someplace? I am going threw some oil when i go up and down hills a lot I live on a hill, thanks for any kind of help with this, also started to surge when driving it at very low speeds lil more then idle

Is the smoke coming out of the tail pipe or from the engine compartment?

which engine do you have? have you had any work done recently, how much oil are you going to (qts/1kmiles)? ect ect give us as much information as you can.

sorry guys 2000 5.9 4x4 I did the rear main seal and the front end. started leaking from the front of oil pan and timing chain along with the smoking on hills out the tail pipe dark smoke but then goes away one im driving on flat ground. can i change the TC cover and try to fix that front leak from oil pan so i don't have to drop the front diff again?

I know on the 5.2 you can pull the timing chain cover without tearing into the oil. But I don't know about replacing the oil pan gasket without dropping the front end. Haven't tried that yet.
