Ive got a 2000 dodge durango 2wd, It started making some whining noise when in gear about a day before the transmission completely failed (so I thought). It wouldnt pull anymore just kept acting like it was in neutral unless I revved it super high (4-5k). I parked it and picked it up about 3 days later and it was acting normal while I loaded it on a trailer. But, this noise is new:


It only makes the noise in reverse more than neutral and drive. No noise in park. Fluid level is high (wasnt before) and its dripping fluid out the front when ran.

Any ideas?

 

Have it inspected by a transmission shop. Could be anything.
