I have a 1998,5.2l 4x4 Durango I just brought. Speedo isn't working, rest of dash is. Check engine and brake lights are on too. Just changed brake lines and I'm going to get them bled today. My electric issue is that the truck was wired for sounds by previous owner (he said it was done professionally. Looks like so to me). Also said he disconnected sounds because it messed with the electric in some kind of way. I ran new power and ground and still no power to my amp. I installed amp in my 2000 Durango and it works. I did notice that all interior lights come on when doors are opened. But when doors are closed and I try to turn on the dome lights, nothing happens. I'm missing passenger fog lamp. I read that the speed sensor might be my Speedo problem, but what's up with my dome light and powering up my amp?

Dome light has about a 45 second delay to shut off when you shut your door. Your amp is probably not getting power from the signal wire. That would be my guess
