Default Thank You for everything Old Friend :)

Time to let my '02 SLT best friend rest from this point on. We've been all four points of the country, everywhere in AZ, done some forging for some great fishing spots All family and friends, pets loved it.
Now that parts and repair exceed actual monetary value of the Durango, it's time for a change. If Dodge made another generation like this one, I wouldn't hesitate on another one. But the following
Generations of Durango would be having me stroking my chin going "Well.... I don't know!" when I see a unused trail. Damn Dodge for not making another offroad capable SUV like this one was!

I recently came to the same fork in the road with my truck, do I go down the part of expensive repairs, or do I buy a new vehicle. If I got something else, all I really wanted was either a diesel Ram, or a newer Durango. I just don't love the second gen. Durango as much as the first. Ultimately when I considered the payments and insurance on a newer truck, I decided it was cheaper to get the engine replaced. By the end of the year I'll have this one paid off completely, why saddle myself with a payment again? I still intend on getting it completely repainted and any body damage repaired. By then I'll have really spent more than I'd eve get out of it, but then I don't really want to get something else or let this one go.

I didn't really have a option with mine... I was t-boned by a popular delivery truck in brown after he thought its be okay to blow a stop sign at 40. The driver claims he never seen the sign, makes him pretty damn stupid as its also painted on the road "STOP AHEAD" since its right after a curve in the road..

Anyways, Now I have a '16 R/T and while is it is new and a very nice vehicle, it just don't give me the same feeling going down the road as the '98 did. I also would never trust taking it off-road.

I've been there before, I'm on my second Durango because my first one was totaled as well. Thankfully, despite several people's best efforts, this one hasn't had any damage that severe.
