Default front driveshaft

i have a 2001 DODGE DURANGO SLT AND THE MOUNTING ON THE OUTTER HOUSING BROKE AND I WAnt to know can i remove both cv axles replace them with stubs and disconnect driveshaft and still drive till i get a replacement

Which drive train, t-case? What 'outer housing'?

Yes some more info would help. But I would think that would be fine. Get some 2wd front knucles pull the driveshaft and roll down the road. A lot of work, but would save you some money for a little bit

iirc the axle nut preloads the front wheel bearings, without it there you will destroy the wheel bearings pretty quickly. (leave the Half shafts there)

removing the front drive shaft should be no problem i have see this done as a temporary fix till parts come in on occasion.
