I am having the same problem with my Ram 2500 5.9L V8 mag, except the standing idle part. When ever I roll up to a stop (stop light, stop sign, turn, etc), or in essence when the rpms are low, it wants to drop below 400 rpm and stall out like you mentioned. have you or someone found a fix for this yet? I've not been able to pin point the problem but from researching for a few days now I keep coming back to the IAC (Idle Air Control valve). Being a 94 (2001 in your case) these are undoubtedly the original parts that have never been serviced. I'm about to order the part and try it out and see what happens. Hopefully this is the fix for it. a few other things that may be the problem that other people have said helped in other forums are replacing the battery, replacing the sparkplugs, or again, back to the IAC, cleaning the IAC instead of completely replacing it. Some people have found that the O2 sensor has also played a role in these symptoms as well. I think I am going to start with the IAC, it might be worth a shot for you to try that out too.
