Downstream O2 Sensor clip broken(2002 Durango RT)
Seems like a fairly common issue in the Durango community, but haven't been able to find any threads or videos on it. I've posted here a few times and it's time I need to ask for some help.
I'm throwing a P0138 code for Bank 1 Sensor 2 Downstream O2 sensor high voltage. I have the replacement O2 Sensor, but as I was trying to unclip the connector(it's a serious b****) the red locking mechanism had broken off and a small piece of it is still stuck in the harness, keeping it locked.
I was using compressed air to get the red clip back out of it's "hole" and trying to use a small pair of needle-nose pliers to try and pry it out to no avail. I had accidentally blown at the wrong angle and it seems the red piece is jammed all the way back in or something. I've been trying to unclip by pressing down on the button, tugging, jerking, nothing happening.
I've seen people have used a small screw driver to push the broken piece out. I hope I've described my situation clearly. It's hard to get two hands up on the harness at once due to my tranny being 1 inch away from my face and not having much room.
Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks!
