2002 Durango 5.9 drove vehicle 11mi. shut off 5 mins. wouldn't start replaced battery,cranks but still no start!!

 

Sounds like you may not have fire to the spark plugs or no fuel pressure for the fuel injectors.

 

Sounds like a fuel pump to me. On the fuel rail is a pressure outlet. Take the cap off and just push the valve in. It looks like a tire valve. It should spray out a small bit but be under pressure. If it dribbles out I bet it is your fuel pump. Auto Zone has the cheapest price @ $189 but it is order in only. Checkers will match and beat that price buy 5%. Checkers is $239. You cant run an inline pump because of the pressure you need to run the injectors. The shut off is 95 to 115 PSI on a new one and that is why you cant use an inline pump. Also check you spark.

 

Sorry did not post more info. Checked fuel presure & spark, had both> pulled engine codes everything was fine> turns out it was some how fluded> held down peddle to floor against my better judgement(computor controlled) and she fired up and runs fine> thanks for the replys
