Can I put a 2001 4.7 From a Durango into a 2005 Durango with both vin's having an "N"

mid year 2002 they switched to the ngc for the 4.7 which uses a different cam tone ring for timing which would need to be swapped from the original engine to make it work properly (this is a minimum, im not sure if they made any more changes after 2003)

Yes it is possible. Just not a direct bolt in swap.
