Default 2001 Durango 4.7L Front Suspension Travel

I have a 2001 Durango 4.7L that has excessive suspension travel. I replaced both front shocks, and the “bouncing” front end persists. Is my next step to adjust torsion bars?

Bouncing is a dampening issue, not likely adjusting torsion bars will change that, although it likely would stiffen things. Will also change the ride height of the front as well.

Good shocks help. Spend good money on good shocks and it helps but I'm not sure the bounciness is able to be gotten rid of in these trucks (4wd's with torsion bars) but I don't know. I put Bilstein 4600's on the front of mine and it helped tremendously. It's still a little bouncy though compared to other vehicles (including my 01 Tundra which still has the FACTORY Bilstein 4600's on it with 177,000 miles on them, not bouncy at all). Maybe someone makes extremely stiff shocks for these trucks that alleviates the bouncing, but It would probably make for a harsh ride.
