So I just swapped my stereo system in my 98 Durango STL, and now when I turn off my ignition the parking lights stay on. Any ideas why my parking lights are staying on now? I checked the fuse and it seemed to be fine

 

The radio probably has a wire with 12v when the parking lights on on to dim the radio. Chances are either the radio has a fault that's giving 12v to this wire, or it isn't hooked up right.

 

I'm quite a been when it comes to this sort of thing so I would venture on the side of "it's not hooked up right". The radio does have a dimming wire, but the unit itself does not power on without the wire that correlates to the parking lights being connected as well.
