Default Power steering issue

I was driving home and when pulling into parking lot I lost power steering and when I looked inside engine there was water type stuff all over the engine, any ideas? Can power steering fluid burst out like that???

Probably a coolant leak if it was "water type stuff" and it sprayed on the accessory belt which caused it to slip on the PS pump pulley which affected the steering in a way which you describe. Find out what the "water type stuff" is and where it's coming from.

I know all too well what you experienced. Every time my belt gets wet from minor off-roading I lose power steering and A/C at a minimum, sometimes it slips on the crank pulley and I lose everything for a few seconds. Good luck with the repair, it's not a bad job.
