okay so my friend and i just got home- and we were gonna go get some lunch- but when he went to start the durango and its cranking over but its not firing- does anyone know wtf could be happening? We took the positive side off so the ECU can reset

We recrimped the spark plug wires and made sure that they are on there tight- we can smell the fuel........ we reset the ECU, and now wtf do we do- could it be the distributer?

Check spark from the coil and from the wires. Also check fuel pressure, you might not have enough pressure. Also make sure that on compression on #1 cylinder that the spark is sparking. If not it could be your timing chain or a pickup coil.

 

battery may be dead. try holding the throttle down and starting it.
