Default 2003 Dodge Durango 4WD Transmission Issue

I recently changed my transmission fluid and filters. When I test drove it, I got a code that the input sensor was bad. It seemed to be in limp mode. Cleared the code and it drove fine. I was starting to have issues when cold it would take awhile to shift into reverse or drive. Once it warmed up it was fine. Yesterday I changed the input sensor, was still having same issue with slow shifting when cold. Today, it took me forever to get it to go into reverse and now I'm afraid to take it anywhere. Any ideas on what to try or is it time to take it to a transmission shop...thanks for any ideas!!

Did the code specifically say it was a faulty sensor or was it an incorrect gear ratio error?

It specifically said input sensor. I think it was a p0941. I did check again and there is a stored code for incorrect gear ratio but no mil now.
