2001 Durango 4.7l V-8 breather element help needed
Hey all,
Having an issue with my 2001 Durango 4.7l V-8. The passenger side (pvc)crankcase breather element is snapped off. I hit the local Pick n Pull and found a complete set of breather elements and connecting hoses that look to be in great shape. They don't appear to screw in, the broken one in mine looks like it might. Does anyone have any info on them??? If they do screw in and are broken, whats the best way to remove and replace them?? Need some serious help here guys and gals...am up the fabled creek without a paddle...
Thanks,
Steve

OK, no longer up the fabled creek without a paddle. I was able to get a moderately sided flat blade screwdriver into the broken sockets of the breather elements. I was able to break them loose and then take them out with my fingertips...pretty sure all pieces came out without entering the head. Went to the local O'Rileys and they actually had 2 of the correct versions in stock. I will edit this and put up the numbers if anyone else might need them. Autozone had no clue as to the part number.
Thanks again.
Steve
