2001 dodge dakota locks by itself

 

They're supposed to do that automatically, when the truck reaches 15 mph. If you're talking something else, then describe it.

 

What I want to know is if there is a way to make all the doors unlock when you put it in park.

 

No, there is not. You can make it NOT auto-lock at 15mph, meaning you handle locking/unlocking on your own. You can also make the key fob unlock all the doors on one hit, rather than one hit for the driver door and a second hit for the rest.

 

I knew you could turn off the auto-lock, but I didn't know there was a single unlock for the driver's door. Mine always opens all doors on one button press from the fob.

 

The fob one-door-or-all-doors thing is another of those 'hop on one foot, tap your head 5 times, and turn the ignition on 12 times' things.
