Default won't start

1999 Dodge Dakota
A few weeks ago, truck would not start following a heavy rain. It finally started and has started fine since then. Today my husband drove it to work, and later when he went to lunch it would not start. He says it is not cranking at all, and after he switches the key off he hears a click in the glove box area. Any ideas, Don't have a lot of money to invest in this.

Who knows. Try to jump start it. Check the condition of the battery and starter connections and wiring.
