No turn signals or emergency flashers
Update. I pulled the dash cowl, and there is no flasher back where the video shows. I've looked up, down, under and sideways. I guess I'm going to have to take it to my auto electric shop.
[QUOTE=Dodgevity;3419648]If you haven't already, pull the neg battery cable and turn the key to start. See if that reset does anything. Also, watch this vid....

just an FYI. In 2001, Dodge changed the flashers from the small cube style to the larger rectangular block style, like the one in my picture. Also quite a bit of price difference. Old style:$15.99, and the new style:$69.99

OK. I replaced the "multi-function" switch, aka Turn Signal switch/arm yesterday, and have signals and hazards, but it wont cancel when on the left signal, and I have to hold the arm up to get a right signal. So, I got another switch today, and i't's doing the same thing. Has anyone else had this problem with the switch, or did I miss something when reinstalling the switch. It snapped in to place like it's supposed to, but with the problems listed above.
It sounds like the steering wheel/shaft/tie-rods are not right. Does the steering look centered properly when driving? Does it have the same rotation lock to lock from center? If not, try steering it the left a bit, pretend thats the normal position, then see if both directions cancel correctly.
Steering wheel is centered correctly, and it seems to have the same rotation from lock to lock. It won't cancel at all when the left blinker is on, and to get the right blinker to flash, I have to hold the arm of the switch up. It doesn't "click" in to position and stay there. It barely moves up to make the blinker work.
JeeperDon. I'm thinking something in the install as well. Switch works out of the box, but has the issues mentioned after install. I looked around the mounting area but cant see anything out of the ordinary, but will look again after work today.
Thanks, and sorry for dragging this out so long.

Did you get a quality multifunction switch? I tried a cheap one on Amazon, it was a waste of time. Hit the parts store and got a BWD and it's just about perfect. Signals work correctly, and always cancel when they should. I think the brand I got on Amazon was "APDTY" or something like that.
Success! I got the switch in, and working correctly, except they don't cancel on either side. I'm thinking maybe the cancelling cam, but that can wait for now. What the problem was, is there is a guide pin on the bottom of the switch, that is supposed to go in to a slot. It was going behind(forward) the slot, so the switch wasn't seating straight. I also broke a piece of the housing that has a hole for another guide pin, but that isn't affecting anything. I want to say Thanks to all the members who offered advice on this. It was appreciated.
Pspklutch: The part is a generic one from Autozone, not a Mopar unit.
