I own a 2003 Durango SXT 4.7 with a 2w-4lock system, I was wanting to switch it out to a 2w-4hi-4lo system. What would be the steps needed to do so if it is even possible? I have searched here and other places and cannot find any specific info on doing this. Any help, advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

 

New switch and new transfer case at a minimum. Possible other electronics (PCM?) as well.

 

You would need to compare the schematics of the 2 systems and see if they interchange at all. In the end, it also may not be possible to make the computers talk without flashing something.
