I have a 2001 dodge durango, battery went bad, bought a new one, when you turn the key on the starter wont click or turn over. Starter was tested and is fine. Bought it used no key fob. Someone said it is a security issue. Does anyone have any ideas ? Just a dirt poor boy needing advice. Please help

 

well, I can tell you what worked on a 2000, of course the people who think they know what they are talking about will say it's wrong without having any answer themselves, most just ask more questions. pull hood release, roll up windows, lock all doors including rear, close doors, open hood remove negative cable, wait about 0 seconds, replace negative cable, put key in driver door, unlock door with key in door lock and hold key in unlock position for about 6 - 10 seconds, watch security light, wait for it to go out, open door and see if it worked. No guaranty, but like I said it worked on 2000.
