Heres a little different question to ad to the mix, How can we program so the door all UNLOCK when I shut the D off or open the door, My 05 Ram does it but the Durango, all doors remain locked, Any one have a way to reprogram the key fob to do that for a 2003 Durango?

With my D the only door to unlock is the door you get out of. and it does this automatically when you pull the handle. I have the rears locked for the kiddies. Other than that if you are trying to get into the D and unlock all the doors just hit the unlock button twice...

 

I think you cannot custom program the door locks to do other than what it is originally designed to do. At least for the 1st generation.

 

i tried the repgramming methods and i can't get anything to work. Are there any ideas as to what i could be doing wrong?

 

Here's a related question... Is it possible to program the 98 to give a confirmation Honk when you lock the doors using the key fob? If so, how is it done?

 

If I remember right, the 98 models can only be programmed from the dealership.
