I installed these shocks on my '01 and am installing them on my '00 Durango (when I get it back on the road): https://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index...Brand%5B%5D=35

I live off a dirt road and they ride pretty well imo. Price is right and they seem to be good quality.

Lower your tire pressure till the new shocks smooth out. If you're running 35 PSI, run 31 or 32.

I really like Gabriel ultra shocks. That rig is a truck, don't forget, it isn't meant to ride like a luxury car.

I just ordered a set of new heavy duty rear leaf springs for my 01 and a new pair of the shocks that I mentioned. I took the 1st set off thinking they were worn out but found a problem elsewhere in the suspension. Even though the back felt all squirrelly it was a bad bushing up front. With 258k miles it isn't surprising. I have also"just" (as in less than 50 miles ago) replaced the engine and fuel pump and rebuilt the transmission. Mine has the 360 in it. Don't want no part of a 4.7

Go with monroe reflexes. Only shock that works for light offroading and great for general daily driving. Very smooth and my kids don't complain. On my 3rd set of reflexes now. Thank you Monroe for your lifetime warranty that covered the replacements..

I think that the pro guard line is Gabriel's middle of the road 'OE equivalent' line. Too soft for me.

I ended up going with Gabriel Ultras. They seem to ride well once they warm up but are stiffer than all get out first thing in the morning. Might try upgrading again here soon

I live in the middle of no where. All the roads are sucky with potholes and wash boards galore. I took a chance on Ranchos and I love them. I'm shocked....haha.
