Default HVAC issues.... still

This has not been a good year for my HVAC system. I'm getting tired of it to be honest. Right now, I am having an issue with the drivers side blend door. Passenger side vent is ice cold, drivers side is roasting hot. I have no idea what is going on. It just started doing this. I can get it to go less hot if I move the control to about half. I already had to deal with the mode doors this year. I've found multiple references to initiating a relearn for the door positions using the control and holding buttons and so on. Unfortunately I can not find one for my durango. The only option seems to be bring it to a dealer. I don't think I can reach the drivers actuator without pulling the dash so I can't check to see if the door is screwed up or even if the servo is moving properly. I do not want to pull the dash on this thing. I'm pretty sure at that point I'll sell it. This year it has cost me several thousand dollars already. Thing is only worth 1500 on a good day. Does anyone have any ideas or info on how I can diagnose the system without a 120 dollar visit to a dealer?

So, I sat and listened to the blend door movement yesterday. Passenger side is nice and smooth. Drivers side would move a little then stop and start almost stuttering. It would never go full sweep. I had another control panel sitting so I threw that in there and now it sounds like both doors have full motion again. I'll see what it does when I take it to work today.

You said you had issues with mode door actuator you had to replace. What year is yours? I was told by dodge dealership they don't make them anymore exvept for 2001 and up and I'm trying to figure out if there any other years that are compatible. How did u get yours if I may ask?

Mine was a 2003. I think 2001 and older didn't use them. I ended up getting the entire HVAC unit from a yard to use for parts.
