i have a major problem. my rear door on my 2000 durango will not unlock, the front one is already stripped, and ive read about the problems durangos have with locks. my question is does anyone have any idea how i can get this door open so i can atleast get the door skin off to fix the problem? slim jim?? if i can get the door open, i can fix the problem, but there is no way to get the inner skin off with the door closed, or is there???

please help asap!!!

I have the same problem the rear drivers side door won't unlock. Heres what i did hold the up and down mechanism on the door that won't open and activate the power lock by pushing the lock and unlock switch on the drivers door.Do this a couple of times to see if it will unlock.Some times this will activate the switch to open the door. Once i had the door panel off i took off the lock mechanism and rebuilt it but now it won't work again so i'm gonna try to repalce with one from a junk yard. Good luck
