I have a 1998 Durango base 5.9 L four-wheel-drive and the brake booster has gone bad. No parts stores have a new or remanufactured one available and I have found a 1999 Durango SLT5.9 L and a 2000 RT 5.9 L at a local salvage yard and I wonder will either of these brake boosters work on my 98 Base 5.9 L Durango?

 

Found this Cardone reman on Ebay that should fit. When I checked fitment of it with the two junkyard trucks you mentioned, it said it was not compatible. If this is correct, those units won't fit your truck. I'd go ahead and purchase this unit.
