Default fog lights not working

The foglights on my 99 durango slt are not working. Bulbs are good. Both wires to fog lights are positive on both lights. No ground. Of course this explains why lights don't work. What is the cause for both wires to be positive and no ground? Has anyone come across this and how do I fix it? Any info will be appreciated.

When I bought my '98 D my foglights weren't working either...it ended up being a relay under the hood. I believe they're clearly marked from what I can remember.

From what I see, the fog lamps have power all the time that is provided by fuse# C in the PDC or Power Distribution Center. Appears that the next part in the circuit is the foglamp relay and when this picks it provides a ground path. Find that relay and see if there is another one in the PDC with the same part number and swap them and see what happens. If its not the relay than the problem is further upstream like at the headlight switch, etc.

I had same problem in my '99 when it had only 27,000 miles on it. Bad switch. Dealer told me they had had quite a few issues w/ that switch. I'd start there. The headlights would work, but not the "pull" mechanism to activate fogs.

haha...that switch is a joke. If you press it just a tad bit too hard, you'll push it right into the back of dash.
