Need to vent a little. I recently found out the AC Compressor on my wife's 2001 Durango (Silver) was pretty much shot. So I did what I thought was my due diligence and researched the various parts sites on the interwebs for a complete kit (Compressor, Condenser, Dryer, Front and Rear Expansion Valves, O-rings and compressor oil)...I found a kit from UAC on partsgeek for $270.97 plus shipping (total of $314.69, including expedited processing and SHIPPING INSURANCE). Well today the UPS driver delivered a rather small box...perplexed, I opened it to find only the Compressor, Oil, O-rings and only 1 expansion valve...I know mistakes happen, so I hopped on the phone and tried to contact customer support. After 2 HOURS on hold (yeah I'm stubborn like that) I gave in and tried the online chat...Success or so I thought. Contents of the KIT .... missing half the stuff
Spoke with a customer service tech named Luke...basically no help at all.
I had to begin the RMA process and provide pictures and IF they approve it, we will get the refund in 12-14 business days...and we might have to pay to ship their mistake back....still waiting on the RMA form...this is what the kit was supposed to include.... Kit I ordered...but only received half of it.
So basically I'm stuck waiting on partsgeek to allow me to return the incomplete kit and then wait 14 days to get the money back so I can re-order (from someplace else, they have lost my business for sure). They SERIOUSLY suggested that I order another kit for another $314.69 while waiting for the RMA and still wouldn't guarantee that I would get the complete kit. Use them for reference but don't buy from them.
Parts of the "kit' may be coming from different locations. Rockauto does this also. You will get the parts but not all in one box. or at the same time.

Moparite, you are absolutely correct in that the kit may ship from different locations. However, NO ONE at partsgeek could tell me that. Imagine my surprise when the condenser showed up today.I called customer support and they did not have the tracking info today. I spoke with a supervisor (finally got a live person) and they said that customer support does not have access to tracking from the "warehouse" only supervisor levels can look at it. I was fuming because I saw they rejected the RMA as it was shown delivered, but, no tracking numbers were available. When I finally got the tracking number (originally only a UPS tracking number) it was for USPS and NOT the one for the condenser. The ironic thing is that USPS delivered the condenser to my physical house and left another part of the order down in the lockbox.
Had partsgeek said there were 3 packages and provided the tracking numbers, I wouldn't have minded. Even the packing slip for the 1st package didn't mention other shipments.
I refuse to deal with them or CarID. The ladder actually sent me an email to notify me that a part I had looked at was finally in stock. So I ordered it immediately and sent my money just to be told within 6 hours that it was not in stock, they couldn't get it and I couldn't get a refund until next month. Some of these places are so shady.
