Weird start up problems..
Hi, it's me again
Some time ago after ma Durango caught fire I replaced whole dashboard with wirinig harness. And my harness and the donor harness have the exact same mopar number 56021199AF, The only difference between them is that my Durango does not have air conditioning vents in the headliner. But I checked and in my Durango there is a connector left on the roof to connect it, which proves that the harnesses are identical. However, I have a strange problem: the car cranks, fuel is on, but won't start with the key, no spark. Furthermore, when I turn the ignition switch to the RUN position And when I turn the **** to the HVAC panel, it energizes the fuel pump. I can clearly hear it; when I don't, everything is fine. Furthermore, the car starts if I leave the ignition on and short the starter relay in the PDC (Power Distribution Control) under the hood, and it works perfectly. But when I try to turn on the blower with the engine running, the car stalls. When I pulled out the blower fuse on the dash it shows No Bus, when I put it back in everything is fine. It looks like there's a ground problem in the cabin and the car is searching for it. Does the fact that I don't have headliner vents have any effect? I know the headliner vent has its own resistor, but would that make a difference since mine didn't have one before? I know I now have the dashboard wiring harness from the car that had it, but everything seems identical, including the serial number, color, and wire sequence. Maybe one of you has such important information from MOPAR or can tell me where to find it? I will be very grateful for any help, because I am very close to completing the process of repairing this car.
