Default Issues with Durangos 100,000+ miles

I'm looking to buy a 98, 99, 00 Durango and it will likely have 100,000 miles or over. Is there any issues that most people find prevalent once they get over this mileage, any particular mandatory service that someone should definitely make sure is done? Just kind of trying to get a feel of what I should epect in terms of reliability. Also does anyone know if there is a hitch with more than 5,000lb towing capacity, more importantly more than 500lb tongue weight?

Thanks a lot, looking forward to becoming an owner

Jamie

Default RE: Issues with Durangos 100,000+ miles

I bought my 98 a year ago or so and it had 104,000 on it. I had a complete tune up done on it plugs wires cap. Put a cold air air filter system on it and duramax cat back exhaust sytem. Had all the fluids changed, radiator. brake fluid, trans fluid and transfer case, both differentials and had the front wheels backed. Had the oil and filter changed and a new serpindine belt. All total it cost me about 1,500 but seemed like it was worth it. Now have 116,000 on it and no problems. I tow a 2,500 pound tent trailer a lot and once in a while I tow a tandem axel vehicle trailer with a 4X4 on it.
