Hello all,

I am new to the forum and have a few questions regarding adding additinal performance to my new Dodge. I have purchased a 00 Durango 5.9 SLT.
I have been a tech for off and on 15 years. I have done some digiin and found a few hit and miss mods that may add power to my ridde but looking for something a bit more organized. If you or anyone you know has any advise for adding performance to a 5.9 liter engine please let me know. I am going to start with the obvious stuff fisrt like Exhaust air induction and possibly a chip or tuner. Any brand suggestion or ways to proceed with the most bang for the buck would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

 

Try cat back MagnaFlow. Other people like others but it is a performance.

you can also try 2 websites one is krcperformance.com i ordered the 2.02 ported and polished head with beehive springs to clear all allum. roller rockers m1 intake krc 210b cam nascar push rods 52 mm tb true roller timing chain 3 angle valve job on heads and had it all port matched total package cost $4100 but i put down almost 330 hp and 368 trq on the dyno and thats with 20s,another site is socaldakota.com,hope it helps ,,,i have a 01 d with a 5.9

 

Man..I'd take that $4100 and slap a supercharger on 'er...
