Default MPG Worse after tuneup??

So I did a tuneup... New Cap, Rotor, Wires, Plugs, PCV, Air Filter and Oil Change and now I'm getting worse Gas mileage than before. I've unplugged the batt for 30min to reset the PCM and driven over 200 miles without increased MPG(not even back to before tuneup!). The plugs, Cap and rotor I replaced were shot! HUGE GAPS in Plugs and lots of buildup on Cap and rotor. Anyone have any other ideas.... Do I need to reset anything else or did I miss something that would make such a difference.....?

Where did you get the new parts and what brand are they? Spark plugs react differently to each engine depending on the brand and type.

I saw an article where they where tuning a wrx and after dizconnecting the battery the pcm loses all the info stored on it. I think as you go the pcm readjustes itself to your engine and over time will work better, increase mgp. I hope that made sense. When they first disconnected it they lost 10 hp. After a month is was back to previouse numbers.

when you reset your pcm it can take up to 1500 miles for it to re-learn all new componants and do a diagnostic check on its self give it some time if that doesnt work start small change to autolites then so on

Well the first problem is the Autolite crap you put in it.[sm=shootshoot.gif] You don't put foreign stuff in a USA motor. Don't put in Platinum plugs in if it didn't come with it stock either. Pull that crap off and put Champion Truck plugs in for starters. Trade those wires in for OEM or go to MSD or some other corse of performance upgraded ones. Cap and rotor should be of brass or other higher material. I have owned other Dodge cars and trucks that wouldn't even start with that Autolite crap in it.

Hope this helps.
