Default Durango AC/Console Lights/Airbag failure

We are having the strangest problem for which I can not seem to find any realistic solution for.
The problem is, the following items just simply doesn't work most of the time
air conditioner fan,
interior console lights
electric door locks
all turn on and off intermittently (more off of late then on).

Also, when turning the engine off, the enviromental control panel will light up (when the dash lights are off) and nothing else will work. It eventually turns off when we use the key to physically lock the door.

The strange part is, when pressure is applied to the center of the passenger side air bag, everything works just fine. Kinda discovered this by accident (thanks to stepdaughter who thinks propping her feet on things is cool).

Does anyone know what I can do to repair this problem?
My wife (aka better half) is freezing in the wintertime because the fan is simply not blowing any air at all.
The air conditioner is working fine, just the blower motor.

If it matters, turns out, nothing on this vehicle is where the pictures say it is or looks like the pictures. The power steering component is the new style (everything combined and only avialable at a dealer for over $400). The blower motor (which I replaced) is located such that the entire dash has to be removed just to get to it (pictures shows it drops out of the bottom, not true here). The blower motor resister block is just behind the passenger side windsheild wiper, which must be accessed from the cab after the dash is removed (and I already replaced that). And the vehicle has over 130,000 miles. Other then that, it has served us well.
Any help will be appreciated.
