coupla questions:

1. how do I get the door panel off? Now, I haven't tried yet, but I like to know where I'm going....
2. is the regulator/motor a single unit? Local parts house says it's a dealer item; dealer only has them together. Is there an online source?

 

I just replaced my front left door this past weekend. There are 4-5 screws to take off the door panel. (5 if you have the infinity sound) Take out the screws and lift off the panel. Disconnect the connectors and remove the rod connected to the door handle by moving the bar out 90 degrees and lifting it out of the fastener. As for the regulator, I had to get mine at the dealer. $248 with tax. it connects with 2 bolts on the window. 3 on the motor and 4 for the slide. Really easy to replace just cost to damn much.
