I have looked over several forum sites about dodge durangos concerning A/C problems, most don't match directly but I still tried the solutions, to no avail.

So my problem ...

I have a 2003, Dodge Durango, 4.7l.
It has both front and rear A/C.
The front A/C does not work at all. It started once summer started (hadn't used heat or A/C for at least a month). One day, tried to turn on A/C and nothing.
Rear A/C works fine, cools, etc. but nothing from the front.

So, I started my search on the forums. Heard problems relating to warm front, cold back ... front working only on 4th speed setting ... etc.

The compressor turns on when I push the cooling button (snowflake).

What I did ...

I went to the dealer and got a new front blower resistor, installed it, no change.
I even changed out the control panel, installed it, no change.
I removed the blower motor, tested it, worked fine.
Reinstalled the blower motor, no change.

I have tried various settings, even tried defrost, nothing.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do next, or is it a direct call to an auto repair/dealership?

Sounds like you have a messed up switch plate inside your AC hosing running through your dash, only way to fix it is take the dash out, find which one is broken/loose an replace it.. it's a simple fix but a pain in the *** to do so you'd prolly be better off finding a dealership to do it.. this is a MAYBE so ask the dealer what he thinks about it before u decide on any thing.

 

Just a question but have you checked the gas level. Also have you checked for any diaphragms that open to stop the heater core from flowing or the vacuum tube to them?
