Need to look underneath seat of my 1999 Durango, to see why I have slack in the electric motor that runs it forward and back....

Can anyone tell me how the seats come out please....Thanks

 

First locate the four bolts holding the seat down.There will be two in the front and two in the back.you will have to remove the plastic covers from the rear bolts in order to remove them. Remove the front two bolts first and then slide the seat forward to remove the rear two bolts.If you intend to remove the seat from the truck you will also have to remove the seatbelt attatched to the side of the seat.After you have the seat out turn it upsidedown and look at the plastic forks attached to the screw drive and inspect both of them for breaks or cracks. I had the same slack in my seat but didnt bother to check it out intill the fork broke.Hope this helps
