Spectre clean your engine man . I have used Simple Green and it's great. just tie that CAI into a bag and cover your alternator up with a bag spray a whole bottle on it at full concentration and wait like 10 minutes then just hose off the engine till the runoff isn't soapy anymore. Also you might want to try remove the rubber covering between your passenger side lights and the radiator so you can get colder air to hit that thing I heard it works pretty well.

LOL, I'm just happy to keep interior clean. Let alone to worry about engine.

Thanks for info though. I may do that to all our vehicles.

Simple man just like the bottle says. I didn't scrub one bit in fact I leaned on the other car in the driveway half the time and smoked a cigarette while hosing with the other hand. LOL One thing though try and keep it off the belt or you'll hear it whining for a good 500 miles I learned that the hard way lol. I was ready to replace the belt it was that annoying.

I just bought one from E-bay for $75.00, it has the K & N filter (from Chrome intakes). I have received anywhere from about16 - 17 MPG's in the city/highway and 19-20 highway. Plus it sounds great when you put your foot down!! I also installed Splitfire plugs.

I know that just changing my OEM paper filter to a OEM K&N gave me a 1+ MPG's. Hard for me to swallow that I can get 3 or more possible! The only thing that I can see improve on is the solid duct plumbing compared to the coregated flex tubin that is causing air tubulence. Otherwise, the big flat surface of the OEM style filter still provides plenty of air flow. After I get my Hypertech programmer going, I am saving up to buy the Mopar brand cold air intake! Keep everything Mopar if possible!

I may be wrong, but I believe the MOPAR cold air intakes are actually K&N. I am like 99% positive they are. So save a little money and buy the K&N. You know that MOPAR is going to jack the price up cause it has their name on it.

What do you do with the lines running to the PCV valve and breather when you put one of those on?

I would still buy a mopar branded product even if it cost more. I want everything under the hood to look as factory as possible and having a name like Mopar makes my D looks more original than having K&N under the hood.
