Default msd ignition

Hello Dango fans,
I am working on installing a msd ignition. Does anyone have experience with this? I would like to mount it inside the cab but the engine compartment would be fine. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I hate to tell you this but the only thing it'll do for you in a Durango or Dakota is burn a whole in your wallet. Late model ODBII computer controlled ignition systems (1996 and later) are extremely efficient at providing enough spark to the motor over a wide range of conditions. Your money would be better spent on a ported throttle body or intake system. JMHO.

Thanks for the advice, but I have already installed it with no problems. I have noticed a few things that are different now. 1) a better idle 2) acceleration has increased. I am buying a TB from Fastman. How do you like your TB?

You don't have a suspensio lift? I was thinking about truckin suspension's 4.5" lift, or do you think rancho would be the way to go? I heard tuff country sucks, has problems all the time. These are the only three that make them to distribute, I heard whiplash was not good either they custom make them I think. They have 10" lifts to high for me anyway.
talk with ya later

Absolutely not. I had lifts on all my other trucks and ended up taking big hits on the resale value. The Durango is staying completely stock in that department because I believe that some day it'll be a classic. A nice set of Rancho shocks with premium rims and tires is all its getting while I own it. Unfortunately I don't know anyone that has installed an aftermarket lift kit so I don't have a valid opinion on what's good. I've read the same info on the Whiplash product for a few years now....
