I have a 2000 Durango that just recently(1 month ago) while I was driving with the brites on, I switched them off and the regular headlightes wouldnt come back on, the parking lights were on but no headlights....I pulled over, shut the truck off and everything was good as long as I didnt use the brights....I have changed both relays....but the problem still continues to duplicate itself.

My guess is that when shutting the truck off, it resets something to make everything work again until it either gets hot/or shorts out.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I'm losing my mind trying to chase this down lol

 

It may be the turn signal level where you flip your brights on/off?
