Default some questions

I have a 98 D 360 4x4 with 3.92 gears.

my question is would it hurt it any if i put a small tranny cooler in front of the rad? what sizes are recommended since its an all stock setup.

after going to minnesota this past weekend n driving almost 6 hrs non stop except for gas n food and running 2400rpm at 75mph. i was a little concerned about my transmission getting to warm. i did notice once when i got out to refuel that i could smell some tranny fluid. also. i do some towing with this vehicle as well. usually its my wife's horse trailer and most the time theres 2 horses in there when we pull it.

i know for sure im installing a temp guage. my question for that is where should i put the sensor at? and where would be the best place to put the guage at inside the cab?

It definitely couldn't hurt. I am thinking I need to do that before towing my wifes car out west when we move in a few months. I wouldn't know anything about the setup since I haven't gotten it done though. Good luck on that and tell us what you hear from other sources if you go elsewhere for info.

heve them install the sensor in the trans pan this will be the most accurate also you should run one that is at least 16,000 or bigger with all that you tow
