Bought a Powerdyne. Any advice?
Hi guys! Been a LOOONG time since I got on here. Since I don't work in IT anymore I don't have nearly the opportunity.
Meanwhile, I'm building my house and basically renting a basement from parents-in-law and during these past six months I've lost the oil pump and lifters in my stealth and lost a rod bearing in my Spirit RT. Since I don't have any place to tear them apart right now I decided I needed some forced induction on my Durango and bought a Powerdyne Supercharger for my Durango. Unfortunately, it was as second-chance offer from a seller on Ebay--he refurbs them. Apparently, he's been piecing together the parts to send me the whole kit over the last two months. He's honest--been sending me parts as he gets them, but I'm not entirely sure I'm getting every little piece I may need. (The last thing I'm waiting on is the fuel pump and fuel relay which I hope to get next week and then should be able to install.)
I don't mind having to run to the hardware store for some metal tapping screws and odds and ends, but my question is this: If any of you have installed this kit on the LA 318/360's is there anything problematice I should watch for? (My dad's Vortech kit was an early version and the pressure sensor was faulty for example.) Also, since Powerdyne lists a seperate PN for a variety of years and even for the two different displacements for some of the years on Rams vs. Durangos will the two brackets for mounting it pretty much work on all these '97-'00 trucks, or does the bracketry really vary from on year to the next and from RAm to Durango to Dakota?
Thanks for any help/suggestions.
