besides automatic car washes have a tendency to scratch the hell out of your paint (you never know what was on the car that went through it before you) thats why i always wash mine by hand.

It's just easier, especially when you have to wash the car once a week to keep the damn salt off of it. It won't be long...

Besides, not all of us are college kids. We have achy backs, tight timelines and other priorities like lawns, home repairs and honey-do's. Pay someone else to clean it, I'll wrench on it...

being in college means it usually DOESNT get washed between november and feb/march, which isnt good for it either, but the time just isnt there.

also even tho im in college (atm, i graduate this coming may) when i am home it is ME who does the lawn and yard maintenance, plumbing repair, drywall repair, framing, flooring, painting, car repairs and the vast majority of the 'heavy lifting' stuff that need to be done

I wash mine twice a year real good cause the dirt covers up the multitude of chips in the paint, and until recently only 2000 miles were put on per year.

You're almost there... you still need an exwife, current wife, a teenager, a baby and 2 mortgages.
