2002 no brake lights. Brake switch?
I recently was towing my boat and realized that all my lights were working except my brake lights. I thought it had something to do with the boat and unplugged the boat wiring from the truck and still no brake lights. The tail lamps work as well as the blinkers, however, the brake lamps (left, right and high) do not.
I have an 02' SLT + Durango. I have taken out my fuses on the left hand side of drivers console and found no blown fuses. I also went through the fuses under the hood and again found nothing.
Any ideas anyone?

I did some more testing today by checking the cruise control operation and then trying to cancel the cruise via braking. Being electronic, i assumed the cruise is canceled via the same brake switch responsible for lighting the brake lights. Because this still worked in my D, I assumed that it wasn't the brake switch in my situation.
A helpful guy at the local parts dealer suggested i look over my fuses again and pointed out a slow-blow type fuse in the power distribution center (under the ood) labeled ST LAMP (20). Although i looked over these fuses previously, I didnt realize that ST meant STOP as I was looking for something named BRAKE or similar. I retrieved the ST LAMP slow-blow type fuse and inspected and didnt see a break. However, after further testing (ohm test with voltmeter), we found that it indeed was broken, however just a hairline fracture and couldn't be seen without a flashlight through the fuse.
$3.00 for the fuse later, i had working brake lights. Thanks parts guy for helping me out.
