Default Newbie here...need exhaust help

Well, I don't need exhaust help, I can do that fine on my own. But, I'm looking to buy a '99 Durango with the 5.2. The first couple things I wanna do is add a intake, which I will most likely do the K&N, and the exhaust. I wanna do a catback for now, so trying to do from the headers with new cats, would most likely be more more and time. So, catback it is.

So heres my problem. I want a nice sound. My favorite might be one, that when I am at idle, you can just barely hear it. Like, I don't have a exhaust on at all. Then when I open her up, LOOK OUT !! Just a nice warm sound really. I don't want to sound like a angry bumblebee, but also not like I should only have my truck on a track.

But, I was looking, and I've found, Gibson, Flowmaster, Pacesetter and a couple others. I like the pacesetter b/c of the look. Exit behind the wheels. But I just need some ideas on where to go. Mainly with the exhaust, but I'll take any that you guys have.

Thanks everyone,

~Drew

Sounds like Borla or may a 50 series Flowmaster would be your best bet.

I suggest 50 serries Flowmaster. Sounds great, but not to loud.
I have a catback that goes into two pipes that curve down right behind the
rear tires

I like MagnaFlow. You can get different length of mufflers from 18" to 24'. I run the 24" and love it. Not too loud but a great grunter.
