Default where to buy rear speed sensor

hey guys, my first post here. i just bought a 98 durango and it has the abs light on, brake light on, and speedo doesnt work untill about 30mph.

after searching for about 2 minutes i found a ton of other people with the same problem, i figured out where it was located and about how much it cost.

search didnt answer this for me, can you get the rear speed sensor only at the dealership, or can i get it at a local parts store.

thanks for helping a newbie out

Call the stealer for the part number and order from DodgeParts.com on costly items.

The sensor you need is fairly cheap so it doesn't pay to order it anywhere other than at the dealer.

Hey there! I am also new to this site as well as being a new 99 Durango owner. I too have a check engine light on for a speed sensor malfunction.........not sure which sensor, or really how many there are! According to some posts I've been reading here there must be a front and a rear one. I was just wondering if you ever solved your speed sensor problem and if you could send me a quick post/email about it! Thanks a bunch! Happy Holidays!

When the indicator lights came on for my 98 it was because a brake line had rusted through and was leaking.
